Over the past decade 15 years we have all watched the classic Louis Vuitton patterned bag go from the most sought after bag to the tackiest bag you could wear on your arm. Mainly due to the amount of cheap, counterfeit rips offs being sold on every NYC street corner, for me the LV brand only fell further in my eyes over the years. It may not make sense, especially because it isn’t their fault. Why should I penalize a brand for doing something right? They made a bag that everyone wanted and resulted in billions of copies. But being the elitist snob that I am sometimes, I don’t want something that everyone can get, I don’t want to pay that much money for something (even though it is of better quality) that the rest of the world can also buy for $5. What is special in that scenario?!
Moving forward to the recent Fall Fashion Week, where new LV Twist and Louise bags caught my eye. I may be late in the trend, but again I had been overlooking the brand for the reason stated above. Well, I am sure it won’t be long until these bags are being replicated everywhere (I have already seen some fakes) and sold out of the back of cars. But for now can I just say, I am in love and I need one.
