Paris Haute Couture – Versace SS16
January 28, 2016

When I think of traditional haute couture I think of magical large cupcake dresses, obscure Victor & Rolf “wearable art” and crazy bird like head dresses. I am not at all hating on any of this, trust me I love it. However, the shows usually include pieces that I would likely never wear or alternatively, never have a good enough reason to wear them.

However, this Versace show just blew my mind. The bold colors, the textures, the patterns. I would love a wardrobe filled with these pieces. They honestly just make me smile and I would actually wear many of these pieces on a Saturday night, or at least to a special event! Okay, some are pretty formal but a girl can dream that she will be attending the Academy Awards at some point down the road.
